Kim & Zack’s wedding day was one of those effortlessly beautiful days that just flows. We started with getting ready photos – the guys hanging out at the Sheraton and the girls getting glam at a nearby Airbnb. Such a calm, easy start to the day, which always sets the tone.

From there, we headed to Whitehern Historic House for their first look and couple portraits. If you know me, you know this spot is one of my absolute favourites. The gardens, the architecture, the soft pockets of shade – it’s always stunning, and these two made it look even better. We captured some of my favourite portraits of the whole day right there.

After Whitehern, we made our way over to the Art Gallery of Hamilton for a few more portraits before jumping into wedding party and family photos. I love shooting at the Art Gallery of Hamilton – that clean, modern interior mixed with the sculpture garden outside gives such a perfect variety of backdrops. It’s polished without being stuffy, creative without being distracting. Basically, a photographer’s dream!

Their ceremony took place outside in the sculpture garden at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. A little windy, but honestly, the breeze made everything feel alive – flowing dresses, moving florals, and the sweetest energy from everyone watching.

After the ceremony, guests were able to explore the gallery for about 30 minutes (such a cool perk of a wedding at the Art Gallery of Hamilton). Meanwhile, Kim & Zack and I sneaked over to the gallery wall for a few more portraits. The vibe there is unmatched – modern, dramatic, and perfect for something a little different.

Then it was back for cocktails, dinner, speeches, and first dances… but not before golden hour. In late September, it hits early – around 6 pm – and we caught the most beautiful soft light before heading inside. The perfect little breather before the reception kicked off.

Kim & Zack – thank you so much for having me as your photographer. Your day was magic!!
