A History in the Making
For nearly 80 years Royal Botanical Gardens has been an ecological jewel at the western tip of Lake Ontario. The RBG lands were set aside by the early conservationist Thomas Baker to create the region’s first botanical garden and were originally created to serve as both a regional botanical tourism site and an environmental agency.
Now a designated national historical site, RBG is revered worldwide for its extensive 300 acres of display gardens. What makes RBG unique is that it also protects and stewards over 2400 acres of environmentally sensitive lands and diverse ecosystems that connect the Niagara escarpment to Lake Ontario.

Royal Court

An idyllic setting for your intimate ceremony, this lovely outdoor courtyard at RBG Centre features a sheltered canopy, colourful foliage, and ornamental ponds to provide a quaint garden setting for your special moment.
Mediterranean Garden
Available year-round & seats up to 20 guests
This indoor garden’s upper terrace at RBG Centre provides a cozy ceremony space embraced by lush, exotic foliage of the Mediterranean climate.
Café Annex
Available year-round & seats up to 75 guests
This smaller, charming ceremony space sits just outside our Greenhouse Café in RBG Centre. Recent renovations include beautiful new flooring and rich wall accents perfect for your intimate indoor ceremony.

Seats up to 120 guests
This award-winning structure is a unique and spectacular setting that brings outdoor beauty, inside. Two enormous living walls provide a gorgeous head table backdrop while the Aldershot Escarpment Garden courtyard features flowers and plants and serene water features.
Auditorium
Up to 300 guests
Our main ballroom is adjacent to a beautiful foyer, available for your cocktail and hors d’oeuvres service. Once inside the ballroom, your guests have exclusive access to our Royal Court where they can enjoy the evening air undercover.
The Great Room at Rock Garden
Seats up to 110 guests
Found inside the award-winning Rock Garden Visitor Centre, this architectural wonder features towering windows that provide inspiring views of our historic Rock Garden. The Great Room offers 3,455 square feet of premium reception space.
Café Annex & Greenhouse Café
Seats up to 80 guests.
The Café Annex is a charming space ideal for intimate receptions. Luscious potted plants and a rock feature-wall bring nature indoors. The space can open up to the adjoining Greenhouse Café, overlooking beautiful Spicer Court, for cocktails and dancing.

The peak season reception site fee at RBG is $2,095.00 and the regular season food and beverage packages start at $135 per person.
