History
The Manor was constructed around 1921-1922 as a dream project for Phillip Reginald Morris, a prominent lawyer, and investor in the stock market. His dream was to build his own private “castle” as a testament to his financial success. However, the construction was halted after the 1929 stock market crash which eroded Philips's investments causing him to file for bankruptcy.
For nearly two decades the house remained an empty shell of unfinished walls, symbolizing one of the hardships of the Great Depression. But by 1948, things began to look promising as Alan Morris, the son of Phillip Morris, had completed his schooling in engineering and was seeking to become a builder and renovator. Alan decided to continue the construction of the mansion and it was completed in 1956.
The castle was fully restored in the summer of 1996 and the Trajkovski family, who had acquired a long tradition of fine dining success with their name, converted it into one of the finest dining and event spaces in the GTA, naming it Edgewater Manor [1].

Morris Room
Seating Capacity: 110 Standing Capacity: 200
The Morris Room is a stunning hall featuring stained glass windows, beautiful brick paneling, and multiple chandeliers providing an elegant space that elevates your evening. Additionally the windows provide a grand view overlooking the grounds and Lake Ontario, a sight sure to impress you and your guests.
Capone Room
Seating Capacity: 30 Standing Capacity: 50
Similar in style to the Morris Room the Capone Room provides a smaller and more intimate space. The room features a striking fireplace, stained glass windows, an adjoining bar area, and rustic barrels to complete the look.
Alexander Room
Seating Capacity: 40 Standing Capacity: 60
The Alexander Room is another small space best for more intimate affairs. The room is T-shaped and features an upper level and a fireplace.
Outdoor Space
Lastly there is the outdoor space which makes an amazing lakeside location. On the shores of Lake Ontario, the grounds boast manicured lawns, a patio area with seating, scenic backdrops, a gazebo area, fully licensed for alcohol service, and even have permits for the use of fireworks.
