Located directly on Hamilton Harbour, the Waterfront Event & Conference Centre has been hosting weddings and events in the city for over 20 years. The venue is designed as a full-service banquet and event space with in-house catering, experienced event staff, and flexible packages that simplify planning for couples.

FULL-SERVICE EVENT TEAM

The Waterfront team helps guide couples through planning and coordinates the flow of the wedding day. Their staff handles setup, service, and logistics so couples can focus on enjoying the celebration.


IN-HOUSE CATERING & BAR

All food and beverage services are provided in-house with several menu packages available. Options typically include cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, plated dinners, late-night food stations, and open bar packages.


ALL-IN-ONE VENUE

The venue is designed so couples can host their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location. With over 200 free parking spaces and a central Hamilton location, it’s convenient for guests travelling from across the city or the GTA.

Outdoor Harbourfront Ceremony

Couples can exchange vows outdoors right along the Hamilton waterfront with sailboats and the harbour creating a scenic backdrop. It’s a great option for couples who want that classic waterfront wedding setting without leaving the city.


Indoor Ceremony Option

Indoor ceremonies are typically held inside the Harbourview Room, which still features large windows overlooking the marina. This provides a great backup option during colder months or rainy weather.



Reception Spaces


Waterview Room

Capacity: up to 220 guests

The Waterview Room is the venue’s main reception space and the largest room in the building. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views of Hamilton Harbour, filling the space with natural light throughout the day. The neutral décor makes it easy for couples to customize the room to match their wedding colours and style.


Harbourview Room

Capacity: up to 60 guests

The Harbourview Room is a smaller event space often used for ceremonies or intimate weddings. Like the main reception room, it features large windows overlooking the marina and can also be divided into smaller sections for more intimate gatherings.

As of 2026, pricing for weddings at the Waterfront Event & Conference Centre is as follows:


Reception Fees

Wedding reception packages generally include cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner, late-night food, and open bar service. Pricing varies depending on the menu and package selected and starts at $120 per person and goes up to $144 per person with upgraded menu options. Most packages require a minimum guest count of around 100–140 guests, depending on the day of the week, with pricing subject to service charges and HST.


Ceremony Fees

Outdoor ceremony – $1,495 + HST

  • Includes arbour, guest chairs, signing table, rose petal aisle, DJ services, and an indoor backup ceremony location.

Indoor ceremony – $995 + HST

  • Held in the Harbourview Room and includes ceremony backdrop, chairs, signing table with linen, rose petal aisle, and DJ services.


Optional Upgrades

The venue also offers a variety of optional upgrades, including upgraded ceremony chairs, harvest tables, charger plates, ceiling décor installation, lighting, and entertainment options. Entertainment upgrades include a digital Snapd photobooth, digital monogram projection, specialty uplighting, and LED light-up batons. Couples can also bundle these together in an entertainment package for $1,150 + HST.
